What is the Wakey Wakey Flowers Club?

  • Traditional Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) connects growers and community members at the beginning of the growing season. Members commit to supporting the farm, and in return, receive a share of the harvest throughout the season. It’s a relationship built on mutual support—sharing in the abundance of the garden, as well as the challenges of small-scale farming such as extreme weather, or unexpected crop issues.

  • The Wakey Wakey Flower Club is our take on the CSA model. Instead of committing for the entire year, you can join for a single season that suits you best. This helps us out tremendously and you can also see the flowers unfold each season.

  • As a Flower Club member, you’ll also receive 10% off online purchases for the duration of your membership.

  • More than anything, the Flower Club is about reconnecting with where our flowers come from—from seed to stem—and celebrating the beauty, seasonality, and little surprises that come with growing flowers.

When does the season run?

Our growing year is divided into two seasons: Spring and Summer. Each season brings something different from the garden, and you can join for one season or choose the full summer.

Spring — 4 weeks
Our Spring season begins around mid to late April and runs for four weeks. The Spring start date is dependent on weather conditions.

Summer — 12 weeks
Our Summer season, includes a bit of early autumn, runs from the beginning of June through the end of September. You can join for the full season and receive flowers weekly, or choose a monthly option with a total of 4 bouquets across the season.

What’s in each share of the Flower Club?

Flower Club members will receive a seasonal bouquet filled with flowers grown right here on our farm. The flowers below are examples of what you might find in your bouquet throughout the season. Since we’re growing with nature, exact varieties and availability will vary depending on what’s blooming, weather, and the garden’s timing. That’s part of the fun!

  • Spring: Tulips, ranunculus, snapdragons

  • Summer: Sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias

  • Early Fall: Marigolds, rudbeckia, celosia

How does the Flowers Club program benefit the farm?

Winter is one of the most challenging times of the year for small flower farms. While there are few flowers to harvest and sell, many of our biggest growing expenses are already underway. We’re purchasing seeds, bulbs, potting soil, amendments, irrigation supplies, packaging, and other materials, while continuing to cover rent, utilities, and other essential farm costs.

Your Flower Club commitment provides important early-season income that helps us prepare for the season ahead and gives us the confidence to grow more flowers for our community.

In short, your support helps us keep growing locally, thoughtfully, and seasonally—and we’re so grateful to have you along for the journey.

Are there other ways to support the farm without joining the club?

If you aren’t interested in a weekly bouquet but still want to support us another way, please consider purchasing one of our Sunshine Cards. These cards can be used online, in person at any of the Farmers’ Markets we attend and works just like a debit card.

Can I gift a subscription?

Yes! A locally grown flower subscription makes a unique and thoughtful gift – a little something to look forward to as the season unfolds. Make sure to include the recipient’s name, email and phone number in the notes when purchasing.

What if there’s a week that I cannot make the pick-up date?

  • We’ve got you covered! Each season, you can take one vacation week. Just email us at least one week before the scheduled pickup, and we’ll arrange it for you.

  • For your vacation week, you’ll receive a gift card credit that can be used toward anything in our online shop or a future CSA season. A little flexibility, just in case life gets busy (or you get to sneak away for a few days!).

  • If you’d rather not miss out on your flowers, you’re also welcome to send a friend to pick them up for you (or as a gift to them). Or, you can let us know and we’ll happily donate your bouquet to a local senior or someone in our community who could use a little flower-filled joy that week.

How do I care for my fresh flowers?

  1. Trim stems to your desired length, cutting at a 45∞ angle

  2. Fill and keep vase about ¾ full with fresh water.

  3. Refresh the water every 1-2 days.

  4. Remove blooms and foliage as they fade.

  5. Place your flowers somewhere cool, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and drafts.
